ABOUT ME
After 7 years of teaching in various settings (virtual, in person, one-on-one, small groups, and full classrooms, grades 1-12), I have learned that the key to being a successful educator is to know your students. This goes further than simply assessing their academic strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. Deep learning happens when there is a connection to the material. This is why I make it a priority to connect with my pupils on a human level; by understanding their goals, dreams, desires, fears, and curiosities, I can connect the material to something they care about.
I use a comprehensive and holistic approach that is backed by science to help my students capitalize on their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. This process starts as soon as you reach out.

STANDARDIZED TEST PREP
In the case of standardized testing (PSAT, SAT, ACT, SSAT, ISEE, etc.), we will start with a diagnostic assessment. Once we pinpoint which areas need attention, we will create a game plan and a timeline that includes additional timed diagnostic assessments throughout the course.
With adequate time and effort from all parties, I have a consistent track record of raising SAT scores by roughly 200-300 points, ACT scores by 2-3 points, and SSAT/ISEE scores by a significant amount as well.
GENERAL ACADEMIC TUTORING
I approach every lesson with the same curiosity as when I first learned the material. I love to learn, and that passion informs my teaching style. With every student, I strive to impart a sense of appreciation for the pursuit of knowledge. My goal is to leave them with the tools and the desire to foster their own curiosity for years to come.
Currently accepting students grades 4-12.
